“Hey, Charlie, I’ve got something in my eye.”

“Well, just wash it in the air until it’s flushed out.”

“Ooooo, it burns! I’m pretty sure I’ve scratched it. I’ve got this dark spot.”

“The Doctor says to keep flushing it in the air until it stops burning.”

Could you figure out how to make this?

Indeed. It’s a commercial chemical sprayer (as could be found at Home Depot for $10-$30), a musket or blunderbuss toy ($20-$40?) and a backpack frame as found at REI for <$40 (a milsurp ALICE or MOLLE would also be suitable).

Add to that the horn, and you’re in business. If a blunderbuss toy , might not even require a separate horn . Not sure what trick would be required to get the required embouchure effect for the tone, but robbing a slit rubber diaphragm from a Whoopie cushion or making it yourself would probably do - effectively making a rubber set of lips to work like a reed.

You’d remove the barrel from the musket toy, hollow the stock with a hole saw or spade bit to allow for the chemical tank’s valve and pressure line to fit, position the trigger for the musket toy to rest on the “button” for the chemical sprayer valve, and adapt the outlet on the valve to the “lips”, and to the horn. The horn would just go in where the barrel was, and fasten with the barrel bands.

Involved, but surprisingly little fabrication.

The embouchure. That’s the part I’m unsure of. You might also be able to use a reed of some manufacture.
